Flower Fix-up

Well, unfortunatly, my dress did not turn out well.I know what I did wrong, but also unfortunately, I don't think the fabric can be salvaged to make another dress.  I cut it to small and made up my own ways of sewing when I didn't know what to do.  Note to self:  Just call Grandma.
BUT I am not going to let that beautiful fabric go to waste.  It goes along with the color motif of my dorm room comforter/rug/pretty much everything in my room.  So I am going to make a pillowcase and a couple decorative pillows.  I also had some fabric left over so it may just go into my scrap box for a future endeavor.
This is what my comforter looks like:

I got it at Target last year. I fell in love with it right away.
I do not have the pillow shams because I am a cheapskate.  The comforter was on sale, but the pillow shams were not.  I was not going to pay almost the same price for the shams as I did the comforter.
But I thought the fabric would look nice with it and if not I can just use the plain jungle green side.  For those who need a reminder of what the fabric looks like:

 Isn't it too cute?

Well here is some inspiration I have had saved for awhile on some decorative pillows I have wanted to make.  I no longer have the site saved where I found them, no disrespect meant if I swiped it from someone.

These are more inspiration than anything.

I have some big plans for this blog and once I get settled in to school, I will be going full force.  I am still considering two jobs on campus, which I know most peoples opinion on, but I am only considering it.
